New Zealand Customs Attaché waters the ROCB Trees

Mr. Brian Lamb, Bangkok-based New Zealand Customs Attaché, visited the ROCB A/P on 16 January 2016 for New Year’s greetings and to discuss NZ Custom’s possible contributions to the regional capacity building activities in 2015 with Mr. Kazunari Igarashi, Head of the ROCB A/P. Mr. Igarashi welcomed and appreciated New Zealand Customs Service’s kind consideration and candid exchange in this regard as the current Regional Strategic Plan (RSP 2014-2016) encourages the developed countries contribute to the regional capacity building activities. Mr. Igarashi discussed with Mr. Lamb theWCO regional capacity building events schedule for the latter half of 2014/2015, including the forthcoming Regional Workshop on Intelligence Management to be held in February 2015 in Hong Kong China.  

After very productive talks, Mr. Lam was cordially invited to water the ROCB Trees, which were planted and watered by the ceremony guests, including other Bangkok-based Customs Attachés, on the occasion of the ROCB A/P’s 10th anniversary ceremony in November 2014 as symbols of the A/P region’s support and commitment to the capacity building activities under the auspices of the WCO. Mr. Lamb was originally invited to join the ceremony but he was not able to attend.
