WCO ROCB A/P promotes the Customs framework (AEO program) for implementation of the UNODC-WCO Container Control Program in Cambodia

The WCO ROCBA/P, on behalf of the WCO, joined the Customs-Business workshop on UNODC-WCO Container Control Programme to enhance the relationship between Customs and Businessincluding related stake holders.The Container Control Programme (CCP) was initiated in 2003 by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and WCO to profile high risk containers for security and trade facilitation at the same time. Mr. Kangsik Cho attended this national workshop and introduced new Customs Framework (AEO program) for CCP as an efficient and effective way to accomplish security and trade facilitation simultaneously and stressed the importance of advance cargo information for risk assessment and selectivity. More than 40 participants and observers representing Customs, Police, Ministry of Commerce, National Authority for Combating Drug and Sihanoukville Port Authority and importers/exporters, shipping companies etc. attended the workshop and shared information and suggestions to develop the CCP and to raise the partnership between Customs and Business.
