ROCB A/P joined Study Visit Program at Laem Chabang Port Customs Bureau

On 18th January 2017, with a kind invitation from Mr. Paisal Chuenjit, Principle Advisor of the Royal Thai Customs Department, staff members of the ROCB A/P joined the study visit program held at the Laem Chabang Port Customs Bureau (LCPCB), Thailand. Following a brief presentation made by staff members of the LCPCB, the participants were guided to several Customs offices. They heard introduction of their X-Ray Scanning Systems, which can scan a whole container without unloading it from a track and train, and learned how LCPCB’s officers are making efforts to make a balance between trade facilitation and Customs control by using “Tools and Technologies”, “Intelligence” and “Risk Management”. The participants also learned about LCPCB’s current situation/progress on the “Container Control Program”, “Container Security Initiative” and “Mega Port Initiative.” This study visit provided the participants with an opportunity to actively exchanged views and experiences each other.
