ROCB A/P pays a courtesy visit to new Deputy Director General of the Thai Customs Department


 

 

On 14 October 2016, Mr. Kazunari Igarashi, Head of the ROCB A/P, and his colleagues paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Chaiyut Kumkun, newly appointed Deputy Director General (DDG) of the Thai Customs Department (TCD), at his office.  DDG Chaiyut is in charge of planning and international affairs, Customs procedures, tariff and valuation, as well as Laem Chabang port, which is the largest seaport of Thailand.  Mr. Igarashi extended his compliments for DDG Chaiyut’s appointment and undertaking important responsibilities.  He also called for his continued support for the ROCB A/P and the regional capacity building activities as the executive of one of the leading ASEAN economies.   DDG Chaiyut kindly responded that the TCD continues to commit to the region’s collective efforts in Customs reform and modernization. 

Mr. Igarashi and ROCB A/P colleagues took this opportunity to express their sharing of the deepest sorrows with all personnel of the TCD and people of Thailand at the passing away of His Majesty the King of Thailand the day before.
