Exit Conference on the Cambodia’s first Time Release Study (TRS)

At the request of the WCO Secretariat, Mr. Takayuki Miyoshi, CCF/Japan Operation Manager and Program Manager for South Asia represented the WCO to the Exit Conference on 2013 TRS, which was organized by the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) in cooperation with Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on 1st December 2014 at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Approximately 150 persons, including representatives from the private sector and other government authorities attended the Conference.
The Conference provided the attendees with the report on the 2013 TRS findings by GDCF, and had a series of constructive and interactive discussions between the participants from the private sector and the GDCE. Mr. Miyoshi, ROCB A/P, made a presentation on the recent trend and issues on the TRS,and stressed the importance of the TRS for promoting trade facilitation through identifying bottlenecks in the import procedures to be remedied.
