11 June 2026, Online Meeting

ROCB A/P participated in an online introductory meeting with the WCO NASS (Needs Assessment and Strategic Support) Unit and Regional Development Manager Team for Asia-Pacific region to exchange views on the New Capacity Building (CB) Paradigm and explore ways to strengthen collaboration among the WCO Secretariat, ROCBs, and RTCs.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Gugu Treasure DLAMINI-ZWANE, Head of the WCO NASS Unit, together with her team.

From ROCB A/P, Mr. Jun Tajima, Head of ROCB A/P, and Ms. Asuka Nagamatsu, Program Manager, participated in the discussion.

Ms. Zwane highly acknowledged the work of the ROCB A/P especially on the accumulation of information on Member Customs Administrations into Member Profile.  Attendees shared ongoing initiatives and discussed the importance of effective communication, information sharing, and follow-up mechanisms to support more effective and harmonized ways to implement capacity building activities.

The meeting concluded with a shared understanding to continue close communication and collaboration in support of more effective and coordinated capacity building activities across the regions.
