Mr. Shoichi Sudo, Director for International Technical Cooperation, Customs and Tariff Bureau, Ministry of Finance, Japan (Japan Customs), paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Jun Tajima, the Head of the ROCB A/P, together with his colleague Mr. Kohei Kiyota, Unit chief, on 11 May 2026.

During the meeting, ROCB A/P provided an overview of its current capacity building support activities, such as new implementation procedures for the WCO Members in the Asia/Pacific region. Productive exchanges were also held on the WCO capacity building cycle, regional training needs and sustainable human resource development initiatives such as WCO/JICA Master Trainer Programme.

The discussion reaffirmed the strong cooperative relationship between ROCB A/P and Japan Customs, as well as their shared commitment to supporting capacity building efforts across the Asia/Pacific region under the WCO framework.

ROCB A/P looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with Japan Customs in the future.
