ROCB A/P gives a lecture on the roles of Customs and the WCO to University students

On 20th February 2017, Mr. Takayuki Miyoshi, Program Manager of the ROCB A/P, gave a lecture on the roles of Customs and the WCO to 20 students from Economics Faculty of Nagasaki University (Japan), led by an Associate Professor thereof, at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.  The lecture introduced how Customs have contributed to sound growth of legitimate international trade, which enriches people’s life especially through economic prosperity, and how the WCO supports Member Customs administrations to this end, focusing on the WCO’s Economic Competitive Package, which is a set of international standards and guidelines regarding Customs procedures deemed to effectively promote economic competitiveness of the country.  This lecture was arranged as a part of their special study curriculum in Thailand on the international economics and trade in goods.  The ROCB A/P sincerely hopes that their visit to Thailand and lectures given would provide them with good food for thoughts for their continued study at the University.
