On 5 September 2019, Mr. Eric Wikramanayake, director of wildlife and wetlands of WWF-Hong Kong and his colleague paid a courtesy visit to the ROCB A/P. Mr. Norikazu Kuramoto, Head of the ROCB A/P, and his team warmly welcomed them. Mr.Kuramoto and his colleagues provided Mr. Wikramanayake with the information on the upcoming WCO Environment workshop to be held in November 2019 in China. They exchanged views on how the ROCB A/P and the WWF-Hong Kong could contribute to each other’s professional areas and collaborate especially in combating illegal wildlife trade and using risk management on high value endangered wildlife species in the context of efficient border control. Both sides agreed to share information, knowledge and expert resources to support future capacity building activities.
WWF-Hong Kong is the independent branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature and has been working since 1981 to deliver solutions for a living planet through Conservation, Footprint and Education programs.
