Mr. Norikazu Kuramoto, the Head of the ROCB A/P, actively participated in the High-Level Euro-Asia Review Meeting of the Vienna Programme of Action for Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) for Decade 2014-2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, upon the invitation of the UNECE, UNOHRLLS and ESCAP.

During the meeting, Mr. Kuramoto introduced the capacity building activities done by ROCB A/P in close cooperation with WCO in Asia Pacific region including workshop activities. He also briefly explained the progress made by LLDCs in implementation of WCO instruments namely the Revised Kyoto Convention (RKC). In addition to that, he stressed that Trade facilitation, Transit and Digitalization and Use of advance technologies could be the key areas for improving the situation for LLDCs.
