At the invitation of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Republic of Indonesia (DGCE), Mr. Norikazu Kuramoto, the Head of ROCB A/P, and Mr. Jaemin Cho, the Program Manager of ROCB A/P participated in a webinar “Embark on Excellence: Introduction to RDTC Indonesia” on 13th December 2023. The purpose of the webinar was to familiarize attendees with RDTC Indonesia's facilities, personnel, training programs, and to share DGCE's insights into developing and managing Customs K-9 units.
As a keynote remarks, Mr. KURAMOTO expressed gratitude and congratulations to Indonesia Customs for establishing RDTC Indonesia. He highlighted the importance of regionalization in customs cooperation and acknowledged Indonesia's active role in the Asia Pacific region with RTC, RCL, and RDTC. Despite the digital shift, he emphasized the irreplaceable role of K-9 in detecting illegal activities. He mentioned looking forward to RDTC Indonesia's contributions and collaboration, wishing them great success.
The webinar also featured a presentation by DGCE on the history, training program, quality assurance, and achievements of RDTC Indonesia, including a virtual tour. The session concluded with participants engaging in a discussion about RDTC Indonesia.
